This workshop combines emotional literacy, tools to breakthrough complex ptsd, along with practice exercises, thereby combining the logical side of your brain with the emotional side, to enhance change and growth. You will find a safe place where you can learn and put into practice knowledge that will enable you to strengthen your inner self as you overcome the developmental arrests that are brought about by emotional abuse/narcissistic abuse/complex ptsd.

I would like to share my feedback about the group workshop:                                                                                                                                                                 First of all it is such an honor to be the first members of your first c- ptsd workshop!!!!                                                                                                                        - Personally I found the workshop extremely helpful because it is well- structured (i.e. Each week we are looking at different aspect for healing CPTSD) and it gives me another chance to revisit everything + deepen my understandings with respect to we had talked about/ worked on so far in my private sessions with you. 2. This class is excellent because it removes the ability of narcissistic "training" to continue to rule. The understanding of "emotional literacy" is key to allowing you to access your  conscious and unconscious thoughts that keep you from healing and living in greater freedom. Because narcissistic abuse  profoundly changes the limbic system in favor of the abuser, you need to restore the balance of power to you. Every thing Michele discusses in this workshop is helpful to this end. Try each one, if it works stay with it. If it does not work move on to the next one. This is not a one size fits all program.         I know this can be exasperating "believe me it is worth all the pain" To heal you must feel. This sounds simplistic, perhaps even corny, it is at the heart of the matter. Getting to the thoughts under/ behind the feelings and challenging their "authority" over you is the path of recovery. To put it succinctly, who is going to rule you? You or your abuser?                                                                                                                                                                                                        In the four weeks I have participated in this workshop I have conquered one stronghold after another. The pain can be  excruciating, the freedom exhilarating. Another aspect of this workshop is that Michele has "been here, done this". Her intuition and experience  are available to you for two hours each meeting. We live in our heads far to much, we need to live in our hearts/guts. This is almost counter intuitive. To facilitate your progress in unloading the past, so that you can fully live mindful in the present - energy work is a powerful tool that helps you, on a subconscious level, to release trapped emotions that are holding you back.

Many individuals that sign up for this workshop, lived long-term in environments (whether with toxic parents, family members, co-workers, or a significant others) where there was emotional neglect, psychological abuse, manipulation, people battling addictions, or  individuals with personality disorders, that chronically created emotionally unsafe environments.

When children or adults that are living in abusive relationships do not feel safe 'feeling', they tend to develop the habit of denying all of their emotions - essentially divorcing every piece of themselves that causes others to rage. These could be 'bad' emotions like anger, but they could also be 'good' emotions like happiness, curiosity, self-love, etc. 

The truth is ALL emotions are good and have a place within us, but toxic people make others in their family feel that emotions are bad, that feelings are dangerous - so as a coping skill many people turn the feelings 'off.'

While it's easier to suppress emotions when we do not feel safe emoting - the negative emotions that are kept inside, often cause difficulties that may result in self-sabotage, emotional and physical issues, and the difficulties often reveal themselves in the form of nightmares, anxiety, phobias, restlessness, numbness, anger, pain, poor mental focus, body pain, etc.

        You May Be Experiencing Trapped Emotions if you Identify with the Following:

1. You are overwhelmed by negative emotions of sadness, fear and anger.
2. You either experience high anxiety or shut down in social situations. Both reactions inhibit          your ability to be your authentic self.
3. You experience self-sabotage in your career, relationships and/or health. When you set             goals you can begin them, experience some change, but always wind up exactly where            you began.

4. You have chronic physical pain, especially neck, shoulder and back pain.
5. You feel numb in life. It's as if you are disconnected and 'watching' your life from the                    outside.
6. You smile but inside you are masking your pain

7. You feel vulnerable and experience out of proportionate fears to things that logically you          feel you should be able to handle.
